Stroll through historic downtown Murphy, NC and have lunch at the soda fountain at Parker Drugs! There's plenty of little shops to visit and take in a movie at the historical 'Hen' theater....it's like going back in time.

Take a drive over to the town of Hiawassee and enjoy a day at the beach on Lake Chatuge.
Walk the little town, rent a boat, have lunch, or do some incredible antiquing, it's all up to you!
There's plenty of great fishing at local rivers and streams.
Enjoy hiking in area National Parks like the Nantahala National Forest.
We're not far from either the Appalachian or Benton Mackaye Trail if you're the rugged outdoors type.
Not into hiking...well what about golf in the mountains of North Carolina at a number of nearby courses?
Visit the nearby Cherokee Reservation or visit Harrah's Casino for some gambling for the day!
There's incredible shopping in Asheville, Atlanta, Chattanooga or Knoxville - all just 2 hours away!
Visit the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta - truly one of the finest in the country. Chattanooga has a very nice one also!.
Visit Atlanta for the day and take in a Braves game or attend many other sporting venues!
You can go horseback riding at a number of local equine facilities and become one with nature.
Rent a jet ski, a speed or pontoon boat at nearby lakes...
Hiawassee, Nottely, Chatuge, Apalachia and Cherokee just to name a few!
The water is unbelievably clean and the lakes aren't crowded due to TVA building restrictions.

Visit Brasstown Bald Mountain at 4,784 feet....making it the highest mountain in Georgia.
Visit Cleveland, GA - Home of the original Cabbage Patch Kids.
Visit Helen, Ga for a fun filled day in the Baravian Village, have lunch, go tubing, and stroll the shops.
Visit Fields of the Wood, a Biblical theme park, just west of Murphy.
